  • This time of year, we do not offer Halibut trips. The weather on Cook Inlet is very unpredictable with very high winds, and the halibut is moving to the deeper water.

Fish Processing & Storage in Soldotna at Jolly Walley’s

All fish processing and storage is handled by Jolly Walley’s Processing, located in Poacher’s Cove in Soldotna. They offer very reasonable rates to professionally prepare your fish for the trip home. Their team will fillet, commercially vacuum-pack, freeze, store, and box your fish with care. You never need to worry—Jolly Walley’s is open late every night of the week. Simply stop by and drop your fish off on your way back to the lodge each day.

To confirm your reservation, a 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due by May 1st. After May 15th, all reservations become fully nonrefundable, as we dedicate those dates, aircraft, and guides exclusively to your trip. Affordable, comprehensive policies are widely available online and offer protection for unexpected delays, illness, or weather-related changes.

All packages begin on a Sunday, with fishing or bear-viewing adventures running Monday through Friday. Our 7-day itinerary allows an extra day for weather adjustments or personal rest, while our 5-day package is perfect for travelers looking to maximize time on the water within a shorter stay.

    Each package includes comfortable lodging and fishing excursions designed to fit every level of experience. Guests stay in fully equipped units with modern kitchens, outdoor barbecues, and easy access to nearby grocery stores—just five minutes from the lodge. Many guests enjoy preparing breakfast and lunches in their rooms and venturing out for dinner at one of the great local restaurants. Choosing a self-catering lodge like ours can save guests as much as $1,500 per person compared to full-service lodges with meal plans, without sacrificing comfort or convenience. For a party of two, that’s a savings of over $3,000—money you can use to enjoy additional fly out excursions or fine dining around the Kenai Peninsula.
